The Archive of the Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck in Kassel was founded in 1994. Our Website informs about our assignments, projects and cooperations and tells how to use our archive.

Our archive is responsible for the supervision of the local parish archives and the preservation and care of their archival material. Our area comprises four regions, 28 districts and 967 local congregations. We advise the congregations on best practice in records management and in all archival matters.

The archive in Kassel is a public institution. We support scientific research utilizing the historical sources.
